Research Interest
My research focuses on combating disinformation and online information manipulation, with the goal of supporting informed public discourse and democratic resilience. I explore how AI systems can be designed and deployed responsibly to detect and mitigate deceptive content while remaining transparent and accountable to users. A key aspect of my work is understanding how social media platforms, algorithmic systems, and human cognitive biases interact to amplify manipulated information, and how these dynamics can be addressed through technological, methodological, and educational approaches. This includes research on explainable AI (XAI) tools, conceptual frameworks, and strategies that support critical engagement with digital content, help recognize manipulation, and facilitate informed decision-making online.
